Initial Jobless Claims Decline to 330,000

The number of U.S. workers filing first-time claims for jobless benefits fell last week from a two-month high, indicating that companies are holding on to workers to meet demand as the economy expands.
Initial claims declined by 21,000 last week to 330,000, the Labor Department said. The less volatile four-week average dropped to 331,750 from 334,500.
