Calpine Records Requested by SEC

Calpine Corp. said securities regulators were seeking documents related to the company’s reduction of its estimate of oil and natural gas reserves.
The Securities and Exchange Commission also requested information on allegations by a former employee that Calpine evaded sales and use taxes in some states and filed false tax reports. The San Jose company said it was cooperating with the SEC.
