In Sex Charges, Teacher Pleads No Contest

A former high school teacher has pleaded no contest to 12 felony counts related to having sex with three male students in an agreement that will likely keep her out of prison.
Elizabeth Stow, 26, a first-year teacher at Tulare Western High School, was arrested April 4. She faced seven felony counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor and five felony counts of unlawful oral copulation. Stow could have faced up to 10 years in prison.
The plea deal calls for a suspended prison sentence of eight years and four months.
