From Times Wire Reports
Mothers Against Drunk Driving has elected a new leader: a dad.
Glynn Birch of Orlando, Fla., becomes the national advocacy group’s first male president July 1.
Birch became involved with the organization after his 21-month-old son was killed in 1988 by a drunken driver.
“I do not want what happened to me to happen to anyone else,” Birch said.
MADD, which celebrates its 25th anniversary in September, has more than 600 chapters across the nation.
