Cathedral hosts Shakespeare fest

The site of Shakespeare Festival/LA’s free alfresco performances this summer will be the plaza of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, where the company will present the New York-based Aquila Theatre Company’s “The Comedy of Errors,” July 27 through 30.
The festival had to leave Pershing Square, which it had used for the last five summers, because of cuts in the city’s Department of Recreation and Parks budget, but downtown L.A. Councilwoman Jan Perry helped arrange substitute funding from the Community Redevelopment Agency.
