Update -- Santana, 22, made two starts in Kelvim Escobar’s place in May, shutting out the Chicago White Sox on five hits in his second game on May 23. But his second major league stint won’t be a brief audition; Escobar is out for three or four weeks this time. Hernandez, 8-0 in his last 10 starts, will pitch in Angel Stadium for the first time since taking the loss for the San Francisco Giants in Game 7 of the 2002 World Series.
