Re “A Son’s Errand, Gunshots and the Quest for a Killer,” June 12: Thank you for printing this excellent work by Jill Leovy. She summarized so many profound issues that affect Los Angeles and reported them in an unbiased manner, giving the reader a chance to form his or her own opinion and grasp the pain and suffering caused by these senseless killings.
Also, photographer Brian Vander Brug did a fantastic job of capturing the emotions so perfectly. His photographs deserve high awards. Thanks for this exceptional work.
