Iraq Lawsuits

The Bush administration is guilty of so many evil policies and actions that no one should be surprised at the depravity of anything that it does. However, buried on Page 12 of the April 26 edition of The Times, under the headline “High Court Dismisses POWs’ Torture Claim Against Iraq,” we read of an action that is almost beyond belief. I wonder why the U.S. is so interested in protecting the assets of the state of Iraq from lawsuits by our service personnel who have a claim.
