Adu Scores His First of Season

Freddy Adu, 15, had his first goal of the season and two assists to lead D.C. United to a 3-1 victory over the Columbus Crew on Saturday night at Washington.
Adu scored in the 71st minute and assisted on goals by Jaime Moreno and Joshua Gros.
United is 2-2-2, the Crew is 2-4-0.
New England 2, Chicago 0 -- Patrick Noonan and Clint Dempsey scored at Foxboro, Mass.
Matt Reis made six saves for his third consecutive shutout and fourth this season.
The Revolution is 5-0-1, the Fire is 3-3-1.
San Jose 1, MetroStars 0 -- Ronald Cerritos scored in the 60th minute at East Rutherford, N.J. The Earthquakes are 2-1-3. The MetroStars (1-2-2) are 0-2-2 at home.
FC Dallas 3, Kansas City 3 -- Ronnie O’Brien and Carlos Ruiz scored late to give Dallas (3-1-2) a tie at Kansas City, Mo.
Sasha Victorine, Josh Wolff and Chris Klein scored for the Wizards (1-1-3).

Claude Makelele scored on a rebound of his penalty kick in the second minute of injury time, helping Chelsea celebrate its first Premier League championship trophy in 50 years by beating Charlton, 1-0.
Chelsea (28-1-7) has 91 points and can set a record for top-level English soccer if it wins one more game or ties its remaining two. Manchester United set the record of 92 points in 1994.
