Listening to Libeskind
In 1959, Daniel Libeskind pulled into New York as a Polish immigrant, and he has since emerged as one of today’s most talked-about architects. His projects span the planet, among the most notable being the starkly deconstructed Jewish Museum in Berlin, the Felix Nussbaum Haus in Osnabruck, Germany, and in 2003, the winning -- and controversial -- World Trade Center site design that incorporates glass towers that reach upward to a 1,776-foot spire. Libeskind will discuss his ideas and his past, current and future projects as part of the Music Center’s Speaker Series.
Daniel Libeskind, Walt Disney Concert Hall, 111 S. Grand Ave., Los Angeles. 8 p.m. Tuesday. $45 to $90. (213) 480-3232.
