Rothko record: A Christie’s sale this week of postwar and contemporary art met its advance billing as the biggest auction of its kind, with a 1954 Mark Rothko oil painting, “Homage to Matisse,” setting a world record of $22.4 million for any postwar work at auction.
Animated favorites: Comedy Central has picked up a third season of “Drawn Together,” an animated reality series that revolves around a dysfunctional group of cartoon characters. It’s averaging 2.1 million viewers at 10:30 p.m. Wednesdays, following “South Park.”
