From Times Staff and Wire Reports
The “Big Nose Bandit” held up a Wells Fargo bank branch Thursday, striking for the 18th time since August, officials said.
The man, who got his nickname because he has a larger-than-average nose, entered the bank at 13916 Seal Beach Blvd. shortly before 1:30 p.m. and handed a pink card to a teller demanding $100 bills, said FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller.
He also partially displayed a gun from a case before he fled, officials said.
The man was described as being in his mid-30s, about 5 feet 8, with a medium build and a scar on his cheek.
