De Vries Gives Atlanta a Win

Greg de Vries scored on a breakaway 3:05 into overtime at Philadelphia, giving the Atlanta Thrashers a 6-5 victory over the Flyers on Friday night.
After the Thrashers’ Peter Bondra cut the deficit to one with 1:50 remaining, Patrick Stefan tied the score at 5-5 with only seven seconds left.
New Jersey 5, Montreal 3 -- Brian Gionta scored twice, including the winning goal in the third period at East Rutherford, N.J. The Canadiens lost in regulation on the road for the first time this season (6-1-2).
Dallas 6, Columbus 3 -- Jere Lehtinen scored the last of three power-play goals at 9:06 of the third period, breaking a tie and lifting the Stars past the Blue Jackets at Dallas.
Chicago 5, Calgary 2 -- Mark Bell and rookie Mark Cullen each scored twice at Calgary as the Blackhawks ended the Flames’ eight-game winning streak.
