Bure’s Injury Not Improving

NASHVILLE -- Forward Valeri Bure was examined by a back specialist in Florida on Tuesday in another effort to find a remedy for the injury, which has caused him to sit out the season to date.
The Kings have said Bure has a protruding disk. But nothing has helped. He was injured Sept. 29.
“It’s frustrating, particularly for Val,” General Manager Dave Taylor said. “It’s a back that has been very stubborn. He has had medicine and injections, but we haven’t been able to get him any relief. We’ve tried a couple specialists and will try any other idea that makes sense.”
Bure signed a one-year, $1.5-million contract with the Kings, who saw him as a top-six forward and a force on the power play.
