It’s a Megaton of fun

Megaton 2005 is at least the fourth major reggaeton show to come to Southern California this year. But the Latino hip-hop genre is growing so fast that a new hit act seems to appear with each one. This time, Wisin and Yandel join the headliners just as the Puerto Rican duo’s latest album, “P’al Mundo,” has debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin album chart. Other big names on the night’s long roster include reggaeton’s most substantive artist, Tego Calderon, as well as Don Omar, Ivy Queen, Adassa and Voltio. The show is co-sponsored by Latino 96.3, the new radio station that’s drawing big ratings with its urban Latino format aimed at L.A.’s bilingual youth.
Megaton 2005, the Forum, 3900 W. Manchester Blvd., Inglewood. 8 p.m. Friday. $29 to $99. (310) 330-7340.
