CNN aided by Katrina reports

CNN’s coverage of Hurricane Katrina helped lift its ratings this week among 25- to 54-year-olds, a key demographic group sought by many television news advertisers.
While Fox News still garnered a larger audience overall, CNN edged out its rival among those viewers during Monday’s prime-time programming and throughout Tuesday’s coverage. CNN pulled an average of 897,000 viewers in the 25-to-54 demographic throughout Tuesday while Fox averaged 847,000.
