Healthy Choice Recalls Islands Blends Juices

State health authorities warned that juices with the label “Islands Blends by Healthy Choice” may be contaminated with disease-causing bacteria.

The products are being recalled by the manufacturer, Healthy Choice Inc. of Los Angeles. They are packaged in gallon, half-gallon, and quart-sized white plastic containers with the Islands Blends label on the side and date codes that range from Aug. 7, 2005, through Sept. 1, 2005, stamped on the top portion of the containers, officials said.

The product flavors include orange, watermelon, grapefruit, apple, carrot and lemon.

No illnesses have been reported.
