A pressure point

RE “Spinning Into Control” [Aug. 28]: So many times I heard others laugh when Robert Downey Jr. made the TV news, but I just prayed for him. Many people will never be able to understand the life of an addict, including those of us who are.

I just turned 40. It’s good to read about Robert turning 40 and his having gotten to a point of having some semblance of stability.

But let’s not put too much pressure on the lad. Even having an article in the Sunday Calendar could put a great deal of pressure upon him.

We are only human.
