Gateway Reenters British Market

Gateway Inc., the third-largest U.S. personal computer maker, is reentering the British market after a four-year absence to boost sales.
Irvine-based Gateway is selling a notebook PC, two desktop PCs and liquid crystal display televisions through the 250-retail chain Comet, a unit of Kesa Electricals. Gateway also is selling its EMachines PCs and displays through 138 Staples Inc. stores in Britain.
