A woman and two children crossing Katella Avenue near Disneyland were injured when they were struck by a car whose driver has been booked on suspicion of felony DUI, police said Tuesday.
The accident occurred about 8:30 p.m. Monday when a car ran a red light near West Street and hit the 40-year-old woman, her son, 7, and a male relative, 10, police said. The woman sustained serious injuries, according to Sgt. Rick Martinez, a spokesman for the Anaheim Police Department. He said the boys’ injuries were minor.
The three pedestrians were part of a group visiting Disneyland from Canada, he said.
The car’s driver -- Willie Moss II, 53, of Tustin -- tried to flee before police arrived but was held by bystanders, according to Martinez.
