Two teenage girls were found dead Sunday morning after the car in which they were traveling lost control a night earlier in Angeles National Forest, struck a rock wall and plunged down an embankment.
The car’s driver and another passenger were injured in the accident and taken to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, the California Highway Patrol said.
The Los Angeles County coroner’s office said Sunday night that the two dead girls were each 17 years old. It did not release their names.
The accident occurred about 8 p.m. Saturday on Mt. Baldy Road south of Tunnel 1.
