On the mend: Actress Teri Garr was recovering at an undisclosed L.A.-area hospital Tuesday from surgery to repair an aneurysm she suffered at her home Dec. 21, her publicist said. Garr, who also has multiple sclerosis, is alert and talking, and prognosis for a full recovery is good, her spokeswoman said.

Theater grant: The Deaf West Theatre company in L.A. has received a $105,000 grant from the S. Mark Taper Foundation to help support a new production of one-act plays and an expansion of fund-raising activities.
