Sen. Christopher J. Dodd plans to launch his bid for the White House today on the Don Imus radio show.
The Connecticut Democrat, who starts the 2008 race as a barely known long shot, is expected to detail his plans in a series of media events, beginning with the 6:30 a.m. radio appearance and including a trip to Iowa.
Dodd, 62, has been exploring a White House bid since May, going to Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and other early-voting states to test his appeal.
