Brush fire that imperiled homes is fully contained

A 30-acre brush fire that briefly threatened nearly two dozen homes in Thousand Oaks was fully contained Tuesday evening, Ventura County fire officials said.
No homes or structures were damaged in the blaze, which broke out late Monday afternoon on a hillside near Hampshire Road and Foothill Drive, fire Capt. Barry Parker said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
