A brush with one of music’s greats

THE article on forgotten legend Lee Hazlewood jogged my memory [“Lee Hazlewood, Talkin’ Before It’s Sundown,” Jan. 21].
In the summer of 1969, I worked in an office next to his in the famous 9000 Sunset building. I was a bit scared to meet him for the first time. But even with his success back then, I’ve always remembered how down-to-earth and friendly he was.
Truly, this impressive man has touched many of us. He will be missed.
