Los Angeles Times Media Group said Wednesday that it had sold Recycler Classifieds, publisher of four advertising circulars, to Target Media Partners.
Recycler Classifieds also publishes 11 weekly and biweekly photo ad and employment guides in Southern California and runs the Recycler.com website, said the company, which is owned by Tribune Co. Terms weren’t disclosed.
The sale comes as investors led by real estate billionaire Sam Zell work to complete the $8.2-billion acquisition of Chicago-based Tribune. The company sold Newscom, a supplier of articles and photographs to newspapers, in June and Spanish-language newspaper Hoy New York in May.
Tribune said in April that it would sell the Chicago Cubs major league baseball team after the 2007 season ends.
Tribune shares fell 34 cents to $28.65.
