Taking a writer to task

CONGRATULATIONS, Paul Lieberman, on writing the most juvenile, embarrassing-to-the-reader and all-round stupid article on a major theatrical production it has ever been my misfortune to read [“The Knight Who Would Be King,” Oct. 14].
Why doesn’t he save his jejune sniggering about McKellen’s on-stage nudity in “Lear” for a newspaper audience that is more in keeping with his level of taste and artistic understanding?
The only positive thing about his profile is that it confirms, indirectly, the gentility of McKellen . . . in that he didn’t have Lieberman thrown out.
