Keep commerce out of colleges

Regarding “Colleges urged to rein in credit card companies’ activities on campus,” Oct. 11:

It saddens me to find we are allowing our colleges, as sites of intellectualism, to be polluted by more of the world’s pursuit of money. Colleges are for educational and social growth; their grounds are not advertisement space for credit cards.
