Update: Goaltender Jonas Hiller has helped carry the Ducks to three wins in a row, and is tied for second in the NHL in wins with 19 behind Detroit’s Jimmy Howard. Captain Ryan Getzlaf will miss a third game because of nasal sinus fractures that have sidelined him indefinitely as the Ducks await a report from his latest visit to a specialist Tuesday. In unrelated news, recently acquired center Maxim Lapierre, a Canadian citizen, received his work visa Tuesday and was cleared to play. The Ducks also recalled winger Dan Sexton from Syracuse of the American Hockey League because of the shoulder injury that is limiting Jason Blake. The Predators have the best goals-against average in the Western Conference at 2.40 a game and have given up two or fewer goals 16 times in the last 22 games.
