Food-lovers will find about 300 places to eat, drink and save money in Southern California later this month when the dineLA Restaurant Week kicks off.
The 12-day annual event, scheduled for Jan. 23 to 28 and Jan. 30 to Feb. 4, offers three-course meals that range from $16 to $28 for lunch and $26 to $44 for dinner. A similar dining-out program held last fall drew 158,000 diners.
“We want people to eat their way through the city, because dineLA Restaurant Week makes it affordable and convenient,” said Mark Liberman, president and chief executive of LA Inc., the Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Among the participants this year are well-known favorites, such as Bouchon Bistro, Spago, Lawry’s the Prime Rib, Border Grill, Nobu and Comme Ca, and some restaurants new to the scene, such as LA Market, which opened last year at the JW Marriott at LA Live.
Among other eateries that are new to the event are Inn of the Seventh Ray, the Hungry Cat and Beechwood. Participating restaurants can be found throughout Greater Los Angeles, from the San Fernando Valley to Topanga to Marina del Rey.
Dining is divided into three price tiers: deluxe ($16 lunch, $26 dinner), premier ($22 lunch, $34 dinner) and fine dining ($28 lunch, $44 dinner). Diners can choose from three options for each course, including appetizer, entrée and dessert.
