Overrated/Underrated: An item in the Jan. 16 Calendar section’s “Overrated/Underrated” column said that “American Idol” had been atop the ratings charts since its 2002 debut. It did not become the No. 1 show until 2005, according to A.C. Nielsen.
Miss America ratings: A Quick Take in the Jan. 18 Calendar section said that ABC’s broadcast of the Miss America Pageant on Jan. 15 had averaged 6.6 million viewers and won its time slot. It didn’t: Fox’s football telecast averaged 30.8 million viewers that night.
Border vigilante: A story in Wednesday’s Section A on the trial of a border vigilante in Arizona accused of killing a 9-year-old girl and her father misidentified a defense attorney in the case. It is Eric Larsen, not Kevin Larson.
