How bad has the Dodgers’ bullpen been this month? Pretty bad

Dodger relievers have been very erratic this season and have been particularly bad in the month of August, blowing four straight games that put the Dodgers one game behind Arizona in the NL West. Below, we take a look at where the Dodgers rank in various categories.
First, their ERA by month. They got off to a bad start in the first few weeks of the season, then settled down in May. After an average June, they became one of the best bullpens in baseball in July. And then August came around. The less said about August, the better.
For the full season, the Dodgers are in eighth place in the 15-team National League, with seven potential playoff teams ahead of them, and two of those teams are in the NL West along with the Dodgers.
When it comes to save percentage, the Dodgers are again in the lower half of the NL, having converted only 62.9% of their save opportunities. They are in 11th place, ahead of only Colorado, St. Louis, Milwaukee and San Francisco.
Kenley Jansen’s save percentage is 91%, meaning the poor performance comes entirely from the rest of the bullpen.
Finally, the Dodgers are tied for second for most blown saves in the NL, trailing only San Francisco. Kenley Jansen has only three blown saves this season. J.T. Chargois leads the team with four. Scott Alexander, Pedro Baez, Tony Cingrani and Erik Goeddel have two each and Walker Buehler, Josh Fields, Wilmer Font, Yimi Garcia, Daniel Hudson, Adam Liberatore, Zac Rosscup and Brock Stewart each has one.
